Bmw to Push Through With the F3
After almost three years of lengthy internal discussions and a change of chairmanship, finally the long-awaited BMW 3 Series-based crossover/utility vehicle has reached production approval.
The versatile new BMW CUV, which will soon have the F3 badge once it reaches showrooms, has been under consideration since 2004 and that is based on the internal documentation recently shared with AutoWeek.
The development of the BMW 3 Series was delayed due the following reasons:
* The German automaker’s engineering resources are stretched to the limit
* There are already new models lined up for production
Luckily, BMW’s new Chairman Norbert Reithofer arrived on the scene in late of 2006 and that was also the time that Read the rest of this entry »
No Comments“the Simpsons†Go Green With Volvo Trucks
R W Simpson, a Sheffield-based fresh produce distribution company, has painted one of their latest SCR technology-equipped Euro 4 Volvo FH trucks with an arresting series of air-brush murals that feature characters from the famed cartoon series – ‘The Simpsons’. However, the most functional dysfunctional American family may not be the push behind the trucks. It could also be attributed to the green trucks used by the company.
According to the R W Simpson Managing Director David Simpson, the idea of painting a new Volvo with scenes from the lives of the eponymously named ‘First Dysfunctional Family of America’ was initially mooted as an idea by the company’s drivers as a means of raising the profile of the company. No CommentsSafest Cars Under 30000 Dollars
Before you slap down your plastic for a car with anti-lock brakes, rear parking sensors and active head restraints, you’d better make sure it comes with electronic stability control.
Just like seat belts and air bags, ESC is a revolutionary safety feature. But instead of minimizing a driver’s impact during a crash, ESC helps avoid it in the first place. It improves handling by detecting skids, then uses the car’s braking system to realign errant wheels.
It’s so important that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) required a vehicle to come equipped with ESC in order to be considered a 2008 Top Safety Pick. Among the under-$30,000 vehicles named this year: the Honda Accord EX-L Coupe, Kia Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTitle: Garage Weather Door Strip and Garage Door Bottom Seal Can Help You Save Money
Floods ahoy!
Call it the rainy season, storms, typhoons, cyclones, and the forces of mother nature can destroy, damage and even kill.
Parts of the US, like the state of Wisconsin, for example, is notorious for floods. Back in 1993 a cold snowy winter was followed by extraordinary high rainfall which in turn caused major rivers to flood and dams to break or overflow. Nearly a billion dollars of damage ensued and the federal government had to declare 46 counties of the state natural disaster zones. To quote some of the victims at the time, “It’s devastating because we don’t have a garage and everything that would normally go in a garage is in our basement,” said Jamie Hasper whose basement Read the rest of this entry »

Why The History Of BMW Motorcycles Means Adventure For You
If you love the BMW brand like I do, your enjoyment of the company isn’t complete without a brief history of their motorcycles. Over the years I have found that only a handful of people are even aware that BMW made motorcycles. Being so totally captivated by the current BMW car models, motorcycles by BMW have sort of become the “redheaded stepchild†of the business.
But, I plan to change that image right now.
Between 1920 and 1922 the Bavarian Motor Work made their first two-stroke three port motorcycle engine. At only 148 cc, this engine was affectionately called the Flink. With the engine mounted just Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsMax Energy – Boy Superhero
It’s 2 am and everyone in the Energy household is fast asleep; everyone except Max that is. William Energy, commonly known as Energy Bill, is awoken by loud bang downstairs. He turns to his wife Louis and whispers, “Hey Lo, did you heard that?â€
“Hear what?†she sleepily replies.
“I think someone’s downstairs. Stay here.†Bill grabs the Louisville Slugger he keeps next to the bed and quietly tiptoes down the hall. From the top of the stairs he can make out the faint yellowish glow from the kitchen light. CLANK! The sound of a dropped frying pan echoes through the hall. Bill swallows his fears and continues. As he rounds Read the rest of this entry »
