Making your own invitations is not only a fun way to cut back on at least one of the many expenses a wedding incurs; since you’re in charge of the design and production, you’re only limited by your own imagination. Here are a few suggestions for adding something a little extra to your invites.

1. Rubber stamps should not be dismissed as a children’s toy; in fact, once you start getting creative with them, you can make pretty impressive designs. Add embossing powder for even more impact. Check out Addicted To Rubber Stamps for a huge selection of stamps, inks, embellishments and more. Another option is to have a stamp custom made for the occasion. It’s very affordable (usually around $8 – $25) and you can add a design, or just use your names and the date. The Paper Princess has some nice designs.

2. Gocco printers were sadly recently discontinued by Riso (the manufacturer) but you can still get your hands on one on Ebay and through other various sources on the Internet. They’re easy to learn, relatively inexpensive (you will probably use it for many other projects as well, making it a well-worth investment), and produce almost letterpress-looking results. You can use it to add just a design element, just the text, or the entire layout.

3. Using hole punches can add a really cute touch to your invites. They come in all shapes and sizes and you can use them to both punch holes in the invitation or use the punched-out shapes to glue onto it (or put inside as confetti).

4. Order a personal embosser to use on the invitations, envelopes, or perhaps on a round sticker to use as an envelope seal. Nostalgic Impressions have some really cute wedding designs.

5. For a glam look, add some glitter, or perhaps sand if it’s a beach wedding, with the help of glue, or just use glitter-glue. Tattered Angels make a fabulous glimmer mist (in more than 50 colors) which is really easy to use – you just spray it on.

6. If it’s a destination wedding, why not put a map of the area, perhaps printed on parchment paper for an antique look, on the front of the invitation, or include it as an attachment.

7. Add embellishments like paper flowers (which are fastened with brads or glue), Swarovski crystals, brads in various shapes (like hearts), adhesive mini-frames (over a photo of the two of you, perhaps), glimmer glass or chips, hang tags with a design by you, your names, or even a photo of you two.

8. Make decorative borders using a Rollagraph. They come with wheels in many different designs, and some models hold ink in the handle, making application a breeze.

I hope I’ve given you some good ideas for your wedding invites (or for any occasion for that matter). Paper crafts is one my favorite ways to let my inner child go crazy with glue and scissors, and sending out something you designed and made yourself is so much more fun than just buying a card at a store.

They say that location is everything, but how do you look for an ideal spot for a wedding? The solution is to know exactly what you are looking for. There are many factors to consider in selecting the right location for your wedding because this will set the atmosphere for the whole ceremony which will be captured in your wedding videography. Finding the right spot will be the starting point in determining the other aspects of the ceremony like the theme and the colors of the wedding.

There are hundreds of options to choose from but it really depends on the couple’s preferences and priorities. Planning carefully is the key to ensure that you will have the ceremony you’ve always dreamed of. The couple should first decide on the kind of ceremony they want. It may either be traditional or modern just as long as it reflects both your personalities. Selecting the ceremony site will be influenced by the time of the year, the guest size and the formality of the wedding. You should begin your search as soon as the wedding day is set.

The next thing you have to work on is the guest list and the budget before you start looking for a location. Let your budget be your guide in selecting the best places you can afford. If you are planning to get married in a romantic castle off coast then you have to compromise by cutting your guests list down. Keep in mind that people like their personal space so it is important you choose a location where all of your guests have plenty of room to sit down and be comfortable. In this way, they will be able to enjoy your special day as much as you.

The distance between the wedding ceremony and reception venue is also a significant factor. If the ceremony site is a bit far from the wedding reception venue then other guests may get distracted and decide not to attend anymore. If possible, try to select the wedding ceremony and reception in the same location.

Traditional ceremony locations include churches, cathedrals, chapels and temples. In these places of worship, there may be a few restrictions on placement of flower arrangements, use of candles and appropriate music for the weddings. Make sure you are completely informed on the guidelines regarding these arrangements especially the details on important matters like the wedding videography and photography.

There are also a lot of options you can choose from if you are considering to have your ceremony outdoors. Public parks offer a picturesque outdoor setting. They are perfect locations especially during temperate months. The charming scenery can provide you with natural decorations for your wedding. It can be a wonderful alternative but be prepared in the possibility of unpredictable weather. Having an alternate ceremony site will be a good idea.

By visiting potential wedding ceremony and reception locations ahead of time you can learn a lot and make an informed decision on your options. You have to remember that in choosing the wedding venue, the most essential thing to consider is how you feel about the place. If you envision yourself getting married there then it is definitely the perfect spot for you.

Step 3: ...

What you are about to read will help you to get your wedding plans started and keep you organized.

Planning your wedding is not an easy task. In fact, it can be quite stressful and a trying time, especially as your big day gets closer and closer.

Couples are very concerned and worry about coordinating all the details and make sure everything goes to plan. To help you get started and on track here are 8 things you need to do:

Step 1: Setting the date -

One of the most important details of the wedding you and your spouse have to decide upon is the actual date of the wedding. This should be taken cared of first and the factors in choosing a date includes the availability of the venue where the wedding will take place and the availability of friends and family.

Step 2: The Budget -

This is also a very important step, even before you start to make your plans. Know how much you want to spend for each detail of your wedding. With the average wedding costing approximately $20,000 you certainly want to setup a budget for each detail so you don’t find yourself over extending.

Step 3: Your Venue -

Where your wedding will take place. Looking for a place to have your wedding certainly is important and it is also the biggest chunk of your budget besides your honeymoon. But there are ways to reduce this cost. Here are a few tips to help with your decision when choosing your venue.

Some venues will offer you a discount on days when traditionally weddings are not held. Also the time of year and day will also become a factor in this expense.

For example, certain weekdays and Sunday, as well as mornings and afternoon receptions are typically cheaper. Another point, usually after a holiday, is not considered a peak time and again the price tends to be less expensive.

Step 4: The size of your wedding -

It is very important to talk with your future spouse about the size of your wedding that you both have in mind.

A dream wedding for one may not be that of the other. So it is important to discuss these details regarding the arrangement of the wedding such as, location of the venue/reception, the number of people who get invited, and the choice of entertainment.

Step 5: Photographs/Videographer -

Sure your friends and family will be taking pictures and some of them will own camcorders. But for this special occasion you will want to consider a professional because you want something very special, lasting and visually presentable.

Step 6: The cake -

Dont forget the cake! When in search for your wedding cake it’s best to have a tasting first, before settling on a cake. To make this fun invite some friends and family to the tasting!

Step 7: Ordering wedding invitations -

If you want to get creative, you can always print your own invites. This way you can customize them and add your own personal touch to them.

Step 8: Your wedding attire -

Don’t forget to start looking for your wedding gown months before the wedding day. This way you will have plenty of time to make a selection and take care of fitting.

Also, the groom should make arrangements for either buying or renting a tuxedo. Just in case you encounter some trouble with the fitting, you would have some time to make other arrangements.

There you have it. 8 steps to get you started on your wedding plans. Planning your own wedding is really not difficult, being organized and knowing what steps to take when, certainly reduces the stress involved.

Now put these steps into action and never look back, you are embarking on a wonderful journey and to help you more with your wedding plans you can find many resources on the internet.

Whether it’s your first or your fourth time, being a bride entails a lot of preparation and planning. Many a woman has had images of herself and her dearly beloved holding hands and saying their vows in soft, gossamer sheets of sunlight, but only to wake up to the reality of taking care of the registry, reservations, invitations, oh!-the list goes on and on and on! But since pre-wedding stress does not a blushing bride make, a way to straighten out wedding plans is to have a theme. Do yourself some wedding favours and ask yourself and your hubby-to-be a few questions:

Question # 1: Who are you as a couple?

Are you intrepid mountaineers who are always looking for that new peak to conquer? Many wedding cakes in Toronto can be made to be high enough to convey your shared passion. Was it the love of animals that drew the both of you together? Miniature dog collars with little wedding bells can be the cutest of wedding favours! Whoever you are as a couple, choices abound to suit to your the needs of your theme.

Question # 2: How did you two first meet?

Was it along the jogging alley at the park? Perhaps you bumped into each other at a photography seminar? Wherever your love for each other blossomed may have been, a very romantic theme can revolve around it. Weddings are as much about you sharing your love for each other to your family and friends as much as it is about yourselves, so don’t feel abashed to celebrate your history together.

As an example, wedding invites that look like airline tickets and passports are now available for couples who might have first met at the airport, or who perhaps work together as flight crew, or even for those who became romantic in the airplane! The point is, many a bridal boutique now offers a huge array of wedding favours and other paraphernalia to suit your theme exactly – so don’t be afraid to pick the theme that showcases your brand of romance.

And last but not least, Question #3: What do you love about each other?

Do you love the way he cooks for you every morning? Does he love the way you button up his shirt and fix his tie? A wedding is a grand gesture, but it also has many details that can be used as metaphors for the little things you share with one another.

For example, a vial of vanilla extract or perfume can be used as a wedding favor to convey to family and friends how much you love his freshly-baked breakfast muffins. On the other hand, exquisite tie pins with your names and wedding date engraved on it is a humorous reminder for when you two “tied the knot.”

Taking care of your wedding needn’t be stressful and chaotic. Find a theme that is based on each other, and then stick to it as much as possible. Soon enough, you’ll be surprised: instead of being stressed, you actually love every minute of it.

Best for Bride Bridal Store
...

*The GBC Accucut A530pro is the largest trimmer in the GBC Smartcut 500 series of professional rotary paper trimmers.

*The A530 has a 24 inch long cutting path which makes it ideal for cutting matboard, poster paper, trimming laminated documents and for other heavy duty trimming applications.

*The Smartcut A530pro is a high quality rotary trimmer is a professional quality trimmer for both personal and industrial applications.

Features / Strengths:

*The A530pro has a heavy duty metal rail that the rotary blade holder travels along. This metal bar along with the clamping system included on the A530 helps to ensure perfectly straight cuts every time.

*In addition to the extra long cutting length offered by the A530pro it also offers a large heavy duty metal cutting table. The cutting table is marked with both imperial and metric measurements and also has an alignment grid printed on the cutting table. The alignment grid is designed to help in ensuring that materials are straight square before cutting.

*The A530pro has a unique clamping system that is not found on most other professional rotary trimmers. The clamping system helps to hold items in place during trimming and also locks the metal rail in place so the blade travels true and straight.

*The A530 also includes a transparent cutting guide that helps to show you the exact path that the blade will travel.

*The A530pro is made almost entirely of metal and not plastic. This helps to ensure that the A530 will stay square and true over time. It also helps to ensure that the A530 will hold up in commercial settings where high volume trimming may be required.

Weaknesses / Limitations:

*The A530pro has a 24 inch long cutting path but only a 14 inch wide cutting base. This can make trimming wide materials difficult since the alignment grid and measurements on the cutting base become useless for items with more than fourteen inches to the left of the blade.

*The Smartcut A530pro is designed for trimming paper and laminated documents. Other trimmers have optional blades for scoring, wave cutting or perforating. The A530pro does not offer any of these features. It is strictly a trimmer.

*The A530pro requires the use of a cutting mat to ensure high quality cuts. This cutting mat will become worn over time and needs to periodically be replaced. It is always a good idea to have an extra cutting mat on hand in order to ensure the highest quality cuts.

Recommendation:

*With a twenty four inch cutting length, heavy duty metal construction and a high quality paper clamping system the A530pro is an excellent choice for high quality professional trimming.

*The A530pro is a great choice for schools, print shops and organizations that need to trim large format documents.

*Although the A530 Pro is rated to cut up to 30 sheets of paper, it is best used as a paper trimmer and not a paper cutter. The blade will last longer and quality will be much better for trimming materials a few sheets at a time than it will be for high volume cutting applications.

You have probably heard of others who have used one. A wedding program. Do you really need one to manage your upcoming wedding? It all depends on how big a wedding you are planning. A regular wedding has thousands of things and stuff who needs to be taken care of on the right moment. If each thing is not done at the proper time and place, the whole wedding can get side tracked and course a lot of trouble.

You need to take care of wedding invitations in good time before the wedding. The invitation of your guests is very important to get done early in your preparations. Things like wedding flowers for decoration, the wedding dress for the bride, ordering a wedding band perhaps, etc.. The list goes on and on. Planning your wedding can be difficult on a piece of paper. You really need a plan where every aspect has been thought of.

You also have to think about wedding favors, wedding rings and wedding accessories. Not to forget your honeymoon? Where should you go on this special occasion?

You have to think ahead. Try a search on the internet for wedding programs. You can find information in abundance. It is all out there on the internet online: wedding music, wedding photographers, wedding ideas and wedding cakes, etc.

With the wedding process written down on paper step by step, you are in control of the situation. And you know that you can relax and even enjoy the process from beginning of planning and all the way to your grand wedding day.

If your budget is a bit tight and your wedding program must save money where it is possible, you can make your own wedding invitations, and perhaps you know someone who can make the wedding flowers for example. The wedding party could be held at a less expensive place. The great thing about doing many things yourself is the personal touch you wedding will get. Great idea for creative people.

A wedding program is the most important step to stay on track from start to finish. Planning a wedding is no easy task to manage. Get a wedding program, and make that special wedding day perfect.

Thank you for your time.

If you hate running because you cannot run a full five kilometer, you are going to love this article. This article here is to show you a guaranteed method to help you make that five kilometer run non-stop. Maybe it is your poor fitness level that is stopping you or maybe it is just to boring to run on the same spot for thirty minutes, this exciting technique can help you over come it.

Staggered Running Method

This is the first technique that I have used to hit the fifteen kilometer run mark on the treadmill years ago. It is a fabulous technique that can help you increase your fitness level and also decrease you boredom dramatically. Here how it goes. First, you need to run at a comfortable pace for two kilometers, comfortable meaning around 60 to 70 percent of your max heart rate.

Then, when you reached the 2 click mark, you walk for 200 meters. At the 2.3 kilometers, you start running again at 60 to 70 per cent max heart rate until 2.5 kilometers. Assuming the speed was 8.5 kilometers per hour, you would now run at 9.0 km/h until 2.7 kilometers. The at 2.7 up the speed to 9.5 or 10 km/h until 2.9 km and for the final 100 meters, sprint at speed of 11/km/h. The speed here might differ from others, depending on your fitness level.

Then on 3.0 kilometers, you would walk again and repeat the same sequence until 4 kilometers and then till 5 kilometers. You see, what I have done here is that I have created mini targets for you to hit. It is so much easier.

To Improve You Need To Overload

So let say you have used this workout routine and find it good and you have successfully hit the 5 kilometer mark consistently. What you should do now is to increase the difficulty level by either changing the speed or the total distance. Instead of 5 kilometers, try to go for 6.5 kilometers or 7 kilometers. Instead of running at 8.5 km/h then progress to 9.0 km/h, increase all the running speed by 0.5 to 9.0 km/h and then to 9.5 km/h. You can also eliminate the walking phase and substitute it with light run.

Use The Heart Rate Monitor

Another way that you can track your progress and monitor you exercise intensity accurately is to use a heart rate monitor. I love using heart rate monitors because it keeps my real time information on how I feel. Sometimes my legs feel tired and I keep telling myself that I am exhausted and need to stop. But with my heart rate monitor on, I cannot cheat myself!

Using a heart rate monitor also lets us know whether we are pushing our body too hard. In this staggered running method, the max heart rate you should got is about 85 % of max heart rate. To calculate your heart rate to maximize your fat burn, take 220 and minus it with your age, then, with that figure, minus it with your resting heart rate and we get figure X. We take figure X and multiply it with 70 % if you are aiming on exerting at that level and you get figure Y. Then, with figure Y, we add in back your resting heart rate and you get your targeted heart rate.

Use this running method at least 3 times a week. Consistency and determination will bring you the best results. Do not forget to include 5 minutes of stretching at the end to!
