Catalina Weddings, The Island of Romance is Just an Hour Away!
When l first made the decision that the LA wedding I had been planning just wasn’t fitting the quaint “dream wedding†picture that my fiancé and I had been picturing in our minds, I decided to start the process all over. We wanted something close, but just far enough away so that our family and closest friends could feel that they were getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Something reasonably priced, yet sweet, classy, romantic and special.
We had gone for a weekend to Catalina Island the year before and had a an amazing and romantic time. So, I started researching Catalina Island weddings to see what the island had to offer. The more I Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsWhat you can do to promote womens rights
What we came from, Where we are, Where we’re going
Have we really come that far in the quest for equal rights for women? True in past history voting, dress, and conduct for women were restricted. Now we vote, wear whatever we want and perform a full gamut of activities especially for public consumption on the Fox network.
The Girls Next Store is one of the most popular shows on Fox (I personally love the show) and supplemented with the 12 sexiest jobs in Vegas. Sweet Kendra reminds me of one of my daughter’s friends from high school and my daughter is forty, I don’t remember if her friend graduated. I’ll have to ask next time we speak. No CommentsHow to save money on your wedding – Part 9
I am currently in the process of planning my May 2008 wedding and I have come across some ways to save money and I wanted to pass them on. Here are just a few of the ideas I have come across, many of which I am doing myself.
1) Print your own wedding invitations.
This is so much cheaper than buying invitations, which can cost $500 or more depending on how many guests you have and how detailed you want your invites. You can go to crafts stores like Michaels or AC Moore and get everything you need there to print your own invitations at home with your own computer. This also lends a lot of room for personalizing your invites Read the rest of this entry »
Who Should Pay For Your Wedding?
How much money is spent on a wedding doesn’t have much to do with how everyone feels about it in the end. Weddings are special events with special foods, locations, and decorations. For most people it is a once in a lifetime event, and it is time of indulgence. Weddings can cost more than expected, and at times they can be outright expensive. You shouldn’t have to get in debt, or your parents shouldn’t have to take out second mortgage to finance wedding. If you plan it right, you can have a memorable event you enjoy and proud of without spending a fortune.
When the average wedding costs more than $20,000, it is easy to see how wedding spending Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsTips for choosing the wedding day transportation – Part 7
You should choose your transportation depending on those two factors: the type of wedding and the budget. Mainly your budget is going to dictate what type of wedding transportation is accessible. But if you have the budget, by all means pick whatever mode of transportation you want. I have no idea on wedding transportation, but I have a friend that’s planning her wedding right now. And one of her duties is coming up with the wedding day transportation.
She provided the following ideas of transportation:
- Limo. Typical mode of transportation for going towards your wedding. The cost of a limo can get quite pricely ranging from the hundreds to the thousands. The type of Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsHow to Choose a Dining Table Set
A new and gentle use of all homeowners’ desire a warm and welcoming dining room where they can entertain at holidays and celebrate special occasions. There are as many dining tables on the market as there are decorating tastes.
Design: Although it can be unfair to pair traditional chairs with a contemporary table, and vice versa, try to find pieces that share a common design element. If the table has a sinuous cabriole leg, look for a chair with the same line in the leg or back, or choose upholstery with swirls on it. If the table is square or rectangular, look for chairs with a square or rectangular seat but a dining table set with curvy edges and Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsFord S-Max – The MPV Strikes Back
The MPV or people carrier as we Brits prefer to call them has often been looked upon with derision by motoring writers. Whilst MPV’s are widely used by taxi firms for ferrying people and their luggage to and from airports their image has become somewhat tarnished over time. More often than not they are packed with hoards of screaming dirty faced children, hurling sweet wrappers from the windows and are driven by mums hopelessly distracted by the antics occurring in the back. Anyone who requires seven seats to accommodate their family could frankly do with some advice on contraception.
The main problem however is they are just plain dull, mere boxes on wheels with all the design aesthetics of Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsPresentation And First Impressions Can Make Or Break Your Home Office Business – Choose Your Printer Paper Carefully
“Presentation “according to the marketing guru Riteway Strokon can be everything.
It often amazes “youngsters†and what we take for granted today is the democratization of the “Home Office “afforded by the modern introduction of computers.
Not long ago to set up a company was a major ordeal.
First a downtown high rent location was essential for both appearances and visibility and to “rub shoulders†with the movers and shakers.
Secondly one had to have a receptionist greet customers as well as answer and direct phone calls.
Lastly there were the intrinsic assurances of the basic competency and integrity of the firm – a letterhead on printed stock paper was first. Letters that were received Read the rest of this entry »
